Objective
The project aims at developing new recycling methods and equipment able torecycle, by means of a mechanical treatment, mixed plastic products in bothdomestic and industrial waste, without prior separation, in order to develop a compound material under the form of a granulate suitable to substitute mouldingand extruding plastics currently used in industry; the product obtainedrepresents the raw material for moulding and extrusion processes through which different types of products are obtained (e.g. tanks, tiles, chairs, curbs...).The project starts from the very promising experimental results achieved by theprime proposer MSG in small scale lab. Conditions, which now need to be jointlyanalysed and tested together with a qualified board of European R&D performers (during the technical exploratory phase) in order to adequately plan thepossible industrial exploitation of results. The final results may lead to ahigh reduction of costs, due to the elimination of the separation phasenecessary to obtain mono-material plastic products and the consequent reductionof production time.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
