Development of fast drying adhesives by ultrtviolet light curing

Objective

The objective of this project is to obtain adhesives which can be cured by ultraviolet light and with a wide range of different applications in construction, furniture,... Obviously this type of adhesives can be only used when the support to be glued allows to pass the light in order to be dried. The most significant advantage of this type of products is that they are 100% solids without solvent and besides the drying can be carried out in a few seconds obtaining a very high adhesion grade as well as a high initial mechanical resistance. These properties are considerably improved in comparison with other adhesives which need minimal 24 hours to get a minimal mechanical resistance to be operated. Besides this type of adhesives make transparent films which visually can not be seen. This is a very important for the adhesives from an aesthetic point of view in joining of transparent parts.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
