Computer-integrated manufacturing management of controlgear for machine tools

Objective

The scientific & technical objectives of this research proposal is the development of a continuous, automated process of computer-integrated management to include order handling, engineering and design, manufacturing, commissioning, and servicing. Research is required to characterise the continuous product data management without multiple input for controlgear and the most common components, to define the target-cost design by means of technical and product data, to setup product-related quality control loops in all phases of the product life cycle. The incorporation of CIME technologies into controlgear manufacturing shall be developed, established, updated and edited; decentralised computer-aided workstations for CAD, PPC and CAM shall be joined together; and new forms of organisation shall be arranged.
