Objective
The objectives of the intended research project are to create a new production in Europe for manufacturing safety flooring tiles in recycled rubber plastic using a new method process and to develop a machine prototype: and to create recycled (plastic and rubber) materialtiles with improved: - shock resistance - elasticity - competivity - facility to launch new builiding site The 4 SME proposers are specialized in manufacturing and installing safety floorings, in manufacturing of machine and equipments. The Other proposer is the association of European plastic recyclers (EuPR). The 2 RTD performers have been chosen for their abilities and competences in reserch on materials, in prototyping, in testing and in application to norms and standards. The whole partnership are State Members of 4 European countries. The existing safety flooring products (with already technical limitations in cost efficiency and in resistance) are not very developed and are very expensive. The aim of the research project is to focus on this recycled (plastic and rubber) material different characteristics (thickness, weight, composition, aspect, safety, conditioning) and then on the moulding process definition (tempertaure, efficiency, pressure, flexibility) and to develop the prototype of a new machine to generate an efficient and flexible production with added value in product resistance and important European economical (cost), environmental, safety and social, benefits . The interest of such a research is to: - decrease product costs with a new more flexible and efflcient process, - decrease maintenance and storage costs, - give the possibility of easy distribution and dissemination - improve environmental aspects and suppress plastic and rubber wastes - increase safety
