Objective
Various forms of renewable energies (wind, photovoltaic, solar thermal and geothermal) will be utilized to provide heat and electricity to a recreational and residential center in the west coast of Ireland. Wind turbines will provide electricity to drive small heat pumps linked to a deep well. The heat will be stored in a swimming pool. Water will then be carried to heat the living areas with underfloor heating. Hot water systems will be fed by waste water energy. Solar PV will power low consumption bulbs. Innovation is the combination of the above elements under the control of a sophisticated control system.
