SOLAR BIOCLIMATIC AND SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL RENOVATION OF 224 FLATS BELONGING TO THE DROME HLM

Objective

Use of affordable solar and bioclimatic technics for renovating of social housings. The aim of the project is also to improve the well-being of the inhabitants with more space and light.
That means 10 to 15 m2 of more living space for each apartment, a better acoustical and thermical comfort and around 77% of energy savings compared to previous apartments.
So, the main point of this project is to create a reference in the field of rehabilitation social housing by using performing high-tech technics.

Aim : renovation of 88 social apartments (HLM) of the 50' 70' : one building of 40 apartments and another one of 48 apartments.
Solutions proposed :
- solar and bioclimatic conceiving (active and passive systems)
- aesthetic : integration of solar systems in order to reshape the buildings
- social : increasing of the space of the living room by adding a stained glass window
- economical : low cost rehabilitation. The cost of this bioclimatic renovation is of 80.000 FF per apartment compared to 60.000 FF for a classic renovation.
- Monitoring : there will be a thermical monitoring during 2 years.
