Deciding about waste facilities sitting, lessons from cases of success in five European countries

Objective



THE PROPOSAL CONSISTS OF AN EXTENSION OF CASE STUDY ANALYSIS OF WASTE FACILITIES SITING TO CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES. TWO FURTHER CASES OF SUCCESS - IN SLOVENIA AND HUNGARY - WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION, APPLYING THE THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK DEVELOPED BY THE COORDINATOR AND USED BY THE NATIONAL TEAMS ALREADY INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT.
THE CASE STUDIES WILL BE SELECTED ACCORDING TO THE CRITERIA ADOPTED IN THE OTHER COUNTRIES.
ADDITIONAL WORK BY THE COORDINATOR CONSISTS OF: A) THE ACTIVITY NEEDED TO TAKE ON BOARD THE NEW NATIONAL TEAMS, IN TERMS OF INTRODUCTION TO THE ADOPTED METHODOLOGY AND TO THE WORK ALREADY DONE BY THE OTHER NATIONAL TEAMS. B) EXTENSION OF THE COORDINATION ACTIVITY FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE RESEARCH; AND C) EXTENSION OF THE COMPARATIVE WORK IN DRAFTING THE FINAL REPORT.
POINT A) WILL PROBABLY INCLUDE THE NEED OF A BRIEF STAGE IN BUDABEST AND IN LJUBLIANA FOR WORKING OUT WITHT THE TWOO NATIONAL STEAMS THE SELECTION OF THE CASE STUDIES, THE MOST APPROPRIATE INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUES AS WELL AS THE CLARIFICATION OF THE THEORETICAL BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY THAT WAS ALREADY SHARED BY THE ORIGINAL TEAM.
