Objective
1. Taking an account of the possible biomass resources available in Romania:
- classification on bioresources types;
- classification on geographical zones.
2. The possibilities for biomass collecting.
3. The possibilities for transport to the utilisation site.
4. Determination of energy characteristics for each biomass resource type.
5. Seliing the proper gasification engineering and outfit for the biomass resources characteristics, identified by means of the methods suggested by the programme coordinator.
6. Setting the limit conditions in which biomass collection, transport and use can be economic efficient, based on the methodology indicated by the programme coordinator.
7. Revaluation of the available biomass resources for their efficient use.
8. Testing the behaviour of different biosources types considered as proper to be energy used in Romania by means of the experimental outfit proposed by the programme coordinator.
9. Estimating the technical-economic advantages and the environmental consequences by using biomass energy, based on the methods indicated by the programme coordinator pre-feasibility study.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
