Objective
The original proposal of the network "Many-Body Description of Hadrons and Nuclei" has two main aims.
(i) Description of Quark degrees of freedom in hadrons and nuclei using QCD inspired quark models.
(ii) Test of the standard model and of Grand Unifications by the double-beta decay and by lepton number changing reactions on nuclei.
Prof.Leonid Glozman is an expert in quark models. We want to extend the network by including tests of quark exchange currents by electron-deuteron scattering from one to four GeV electron energy at a special kinematics.
Prof.Raduta Dr.Simkovic and Prof.kaminski will contribute to the test of Grand Unified theories in the double-beta decay and in lepton number changing reactions like (i, e.) on nuclei.
We now want include also higher order random phase approximation to determine the nuclear wave functions (Prof.Raduta) test of the wave functions by double charge exchange reactions (Prof.Kaminski) and inclusion of proton-neutron pairing correlations (Dr.F.Simkovic). Dr.P. Czerski is specialist in calculating renormalized effective forces. He will be involved together with Prof.Muther Prof.A.Polls and Prof.Alberico in calculating renormalized cffectivc forces to determine the nuclear structure wave functions more reliably.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
