Objective
THE EXISTING PROJECT IS PERFORMED BY THE EUROPEAN RADIATION DOSIMETRY GROUP A SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY OF ABOUT 180 SCIENTISTS FROM LABORATORIES IN EUROPE WORKING IN THE FIELD OF RADIATION MEASUREMENT AND DOSIMETRY. THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ADDITIONAL PROPOSAL ARE THE STIMULATION OF COLLABORATION IN RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS CONCERNING MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION OF IONIZING RADIATION EXPOSURES. THE HARMONIZATION OF METHODS ASSESSING RADIATION EXPOSURES BY MEANS OF INTERCOMPARISONS, WORKSHOPS AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN LABORATORIES IN WESTERN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE. THE COLLECTION AND EVALUATI ON OF PHYSICAL DATA RELEVANT TO DOSIMETRY AND THE ASSESSMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES. THE SUPPORT OF TRANSFER OF EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE IN RADIATION DOSIMETRY FROM WILL EXPERIENCED LABORATORIES IN WESTERN EUROPE TO OTHER SITES AND YOUNG SCIENTISTS IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE BY ENABLING THE PARTICIPATION ON SEMINARS AND TUTORIALS ORGANIZED BY EURADOS.THE WORK OF EURADOS IS MAINLY CARRIED OUT THROUGH WORKING GROUPS CONSISTING OF UP TO 15 SCIENTISTS FROM DIFFERENT EUROPEAN LABORATORIES. 9 WORKING GROUPS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED DEALING WITH THE FOLLOWING TASKS WG2.SKIN DOSIMETRY WG4.NUMERICAL DOSIMETRY WG6.ASSESSMENT OF INTERNAL DOSE WG7.RADIATION SPECTROMETRY AT WORKING ENVIRONMENTS WG8.DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVI DUAL DOSEMETERS FOR EXTERNAL PENETRATING RADIATION WG9.CRITICALITY ACCIDENT DOSIMETRY WG10.BASIC PHYSICAL DATA AND CHARECTERISTICS OF GAS IONIZATION DEVICES WG11.RADIATION EXPOSURE AND MONITORING OF AIR CREWS.WG12.ENVIRONMENTAL RADIATION MONITORING
IT IS PROPOSED THAT SCIENTISTS FROM CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES BECOME FULL MEMBERS OF THE WORKING GROUPS AND PARTICIPATE IN THE WG MEETINGS AND THEIR WORK PROGRAMME. EURADOS WILL FUND THEIR PARTICIPATION IN WG-MEETINGS IN PLANNED INTERCOMPARISON MEASUREMENTS AND IN SEMINARS OR TUTORIALS. THIS PROJECT WILL BE A PROLONGATION AND EXTERSION OF AN ACCEPTED SUPPLEMENTARY PROJECT RUNNING ALREADY WITHIN THE PECO PROGRAMME.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
