Application Specific Depository of Object Oriented Environment

Objective

The objective of the project is to customise a well-founded object oriented approach and to provide a complete object oriented software engineering tool, set in the field of intelligent financial applications built on top of relational databases. The OMT methodology for analysis and design will be adapted to the needs of business applications, and the toolset will include reusable components libraries.

A quantitative evaluation of the tool set and of the object oriented approach will be made, comparing development productivity and efficiency of results with previous developments of the Eastern partners based on more traditional approaches.

INFORMATION DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES

The industrial partners from Eastern Europe are particularly interested in promoting object oriented technology for business applications. The Western partner will benefit from the experiments conducted in Eastern Europe to demonstrate the adequacy of these techniques in business applications and the possibility of merging different approaches in the transition from existing systems to newly developed intelligent systems.
