Objective
The objective of this project is to integrate raster and vector representations of spatial information. The work will build on two existing systems: an image processing system for aerial and satellite images and geographic information system (GIS) data production; and a GIS system with vector management facilities. The work will investigate the concepts, design the algorithms and implement an experimental version of an integrated system. The integrated system based on the currently available technology will unify the image processing and vector management facilities of the original base systems.
