TRAINING FOR DATAMATICIAN/COMPUTER EXPERT

Objective

Practical and theoretical work related to the realities of industry. Problem solving/trouble shooting within all areas of analysis, evaluation, design and implementation of major computer systems. The computer expert (or "DATAMATICIAN") is an "all-rounder" systems/software engineer.

MAIN DOMAIN OF INNOVATION:

Methodologies for the planning and management of training in the framework of human resource development.

TARGET GROUP(S):

Students who have completed upper secondary level school.

OPERATING CONTEXT:

Industrial restructuring. Competitiveness. Hollistic integration of computer systems in companies.

TECHNOLOGY:

Information and communication technologies.

INVOLVEMENT WITH ENTERPRISES:

Training institute-enterprise cooperation. Partnership with employers associations, trade unions, joint bodies. Partnership with SMEs consortia.

INVOLVEMENT OF SOCIAL PARTNERS:

Joint social partnership steering/advisory groups.

RESULTS:

Training programmes/courses for advanced technologies. Information materials. Transferable models and concepts.
