LOAD RESEARCH AND SYSTEM ANALYSIS USING SENSOR-TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVER-RECORDERS

Objective

The aim of this project is to perform load research and system analysis to obtain detailed knowledge of load patterns in electrical distribution networks. This will make it possible to determine a typical load profile and to predict peak demands and changes in demand patterns.

The project will consist of 1000 data recorders installed at selected monitoring points such as at consumer's premises and transformer sub-stations. They will normally be connected to kWh meters. These data recorders will, at predetermined intervals, take measurements and store these, together with date and time information, in solid state removable memory modules. Each module will be capable of storing data for 65 days at 15 minute recording intervals.
These memory modules will be periodically collected and the data in them processed by a central computer.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
