New Economy Capital

Objective

The general purpose of the N.E.C project is to organise and support the start-up phase of European SMEs in the new economy by providing an animation and tutoring service aimed at improving access to risk capital.
N.E.C intends to create an advanced on-line service able to perform the two main functions of linking supply and demand for risk capital and indicating the proper steps to take to gain access to financing by providing structured and focused actions, instruments and procedures both for entrepreneurs wanting to implement a technologically advanced project and for VC wanting to invest in promising projects and needing to evaluate their performances and pay back.
Thus, New Economy Capital will match the creative potential of southern Europe with capital from all Europe and outside. The concrete outcome of this project will be an efficient « virtual » environment able to promote innovative entrepreneurial projects so that they can attract the attention of Venture Capitalists, institutional investors etc.
