Objetivo
To demonstrate the application of science and technology to produce well designed industrial heating hardware, software capable of saving european industry up to 80% of its space heating costs while achieving more comfortable, and therefore healthier working environment. To compare the system in high and low level buildings in UK. France (2) E. Germany and Spain.
The design, development, installation, commissioning and monitoring of two comprehensive integrated, industrial space heating, control and monitoring systems, using a novel range of oil or gas fired heaters and ancillaries consisting of :
1. A novel radiant and convective heater operating at high energy conversion efficiency, combining the merits of radiant and convective heating and applicable to a wide range of building types;
2. A novel radiant plaque heater with recuperator capable of being flued and achieving twice the radiant output of conventional plaque heaters;
3. A novel oil fired burner applicable as an alternative to gas fired burners on tubular radiant heaters;
4. A novel environment sensing system to measure thermal comfort in a radiant and warm air workspace and providing an input to:
A microprocessor control system optimizing environmental conditions and fuel economy whose output also feeds local and remote monitoring capable of measuring and assessingenergy input, efficiency, comfort, costs and viability.
