Objective
The aim is to build a new type of fabric washing plant using 50% of the energy and 30% of the water used by a conventional plant. The plant includes tanks for pre-washing, washing, rinsing, application of products and finishing units for fabric squeezing and brushing.
The "open width" washing process is completely innovative.
The project targets with regard to energy savings, water consumption reduction etc., have been to a large extent, achieved.
The fabric will be washed without stress forces for the product; the fabric will cross the thank, open width, while water will flow in the opposite direction. The plant is foreseen to work automatically allowing a deep washing and, at same time, a light-milling action on the fabric, due to the particular structure of beater rollers.
This technology could be applied in washing all type of fabric, no matter what its weight or composition is; it will have a high rate of production and reduced water consumption. The plant will be composed by composable units. The modularity will allow correct dimensioning for various production rates or needs.
The prototype will be built up by the following units:
- introduction and feeding system of fabric
- nr.1 tank for pre-washing
- nr. 4 tanks for washing
- nr. 1 tank for rinsing
-nr. 1 tank for application of products
- nr. 6 squeezing units
- fabric brushing unit
- automatic liquid soap delivery unit
Estimated productivity rate: 25-35 meters offabric per minute.
