Objective
Reduction of energy costs by cogeneration and computer based optimization.
New gas turbine (4,2 MWE) with a recovery exchanger on the exhaust gases producing 9 t/h of steam at 18 bar. Both electricity and steam are used for process needs, due to the specific french tarification structure for electricity, the system will be used only 6 months per year, during the cold season. The existing heavy fuel-oil boilers are thus maintained, but converted to natural gas. Remote monitoring and computer based optimal load control but not apparent innovation.
