DEMONSTRATION UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS OF A 25 KW PHOSPHORIC ACID FUEL CELL USING NATURAL GAS AS FUEL

Objective

Pre-commercial demonstration of technical feasibility for different applications of three small 25 kW fuel cells.
Technical design proven, efficiency of design achieved. Project continued in EE./00328/88.
Each fuel cell includes the following parts: a fuel processor producing hydrogen by steam reforming from natural gas. A phosphoric acid fuel cell stack made by Fuji Electric. A power conditioner converting DC to AC. One unit will be installed at a power company, a second one in industry and a third one in a hospital or office building. Electric efficiency is 34%. Innovation lies on fuel cell for low power market (cogeneration, mobile applications, on-site utilization etc).

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
