Objective

The project is to manufacture one demonstration 3-car-train (2 powered cars, 1 trailer) with the carbodies made from Honeycomb Sandwich and fitted with a mechanically guided axle with independent wheels. This train will be operated on the RATP network and will be compared with the newest rolling stock design MF 77 in operation on the RATP network. The weight reduction is foreseen to be in the range of 25% (at 4 passengers/m2).
