USE OF COMPUTERISED RADIO CONTROL AND WEATHER FORECASTS TO SAVE ENERGY IN BUILDINGS

Objective

Development of a new type of computerised system to control heating and lighting equipment in buildings.
The aim is to achieve an annual decrease of energy consumption of about 30%.
Payback period is expected to be of 4 years.

The new system is able to control the boilers, the values of radiation and the lighting system.
Following elements are used to perform control and optimization :
- ambiant air temperature,
- infra-red detector to detect occupancy of rooms,
- meteorological forecasts.
Meteorological forecasts are received directly from the local meteorological station by means of a radio receiver integrated in the control system.
Each control system can be pre-programmed to take the specificity of each building into account.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
