Objective
TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE RESEARCH GROUP AND TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL CONTINUITY BETWEEN PROGRAMMES.
TO PREPARE THE NECESSARY PRELIMINARY AND PREPARATORY WORK FOR THE FOUR PARTS OF THE PROJECT AS OUTLINED IN DETAIL IN THE ACCOMPANYING INTRODUCTION AND IN THE ACCOMPANYING PROPOSAL.
SPECIFICALLY:
PART 1: SOME NECESSARY MODIFICATIONS WILL BE MADE TO THE EXISTING OIL-REGRIGERANT INTERACTION TEST RIG TO IMPROVE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE DATA COLLECTION PROCESS AND TO EXTEND THE RANGE OF APPLICATION.
PART 2: THE DESIGN WORK WILL BE CARRIED OUT WHICH WILL ALLOW THE GRANRYD TEST BED TO BE CONSTRUCTED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY.
PART 3: THE DETAILED DESIGN OF THE SOLENOID-TYPE EXPANSION VALVE WILL BE MADE AND THE ALGORITHMS FOR ITS CONTROL WILL BE INVESTIGATED.
PART 4: THE DATA WHICH IS AVAILABLE REGARDING THE APPLICABILITY OF VARIOUS SENSORS WILL BE ORGANIZED SO TO PROVIDE THE BASIS FOR WRITING THE REPORT IN THE MAIN PROJECT.
