DEVELOPMENT AND OPTIMIZATION OF A UNIVERSAL ROTATING MACHINE TO BE USED AS AN OIL FREE COMPRESSOR WITH ORGANIC FLUID. MODEL SIMULATION AND EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION.

Objective

CONVENTIONAL COMPRESSORS HAVE THE FOLLOWING DISAVANTAGES :

1) TURBOCOMPRESSORS : THESE HAVE VERY LOW EFFICIENCY IN SMALL SIZES DUE TO THEIR HIGH LEAKAGE RATES COMPLED WITH THEIR HIGH MANUFACTURING COST.

2) POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT CONVENTIONAL ONES.
THE PRESENCE OF LUBRICATING OIL MAY DECREASE THE HEAT PUMP OUTPUT UPTO 30%, CHANGES THE THERMODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FLUID, REACTS CHEMICALLY WITH THE FLUID AND INCREASES THE FRICTION LOSSES AS WELL (IF COMPARED WITH AN OIL FREE ONE AS OURS).

THE INTRODUCTION OF THIS CHEAP AND EFFICIENT COMPRESSOR IN THE MARKET WILL MAKE ALSO POSSIBLE THE WIDESPREAD APPLICATION OF SUCH COMPRESSORS IN HEAT PUMPS IN MANY APPLICATIONS WHERE IT IS BEING APPLIED NOW HEATING BY OIL COMBUSTION. THE WIDESPREAD OF HEAT PUMPS WILL HAVE AS RESULT EVEN MORE ENERGY SAVING AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IN A COUNTRY.

OPTIMIZATION OF PERFORMANCE OF THE ROTARY COMPRESSOR OPERATING IN ORGANIC RANKING CYCLE, VIA DESIGN IMPROVEMENT AND EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION OF CALCULATED DATA.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK PROGRAMME : MODEL SIMULATION AND PRELIMIN MATERIAL TESTING - FEEDBACK - MODIFICATIONS - CONSTRUCTIONS AND TESTING - GENERALISATION AND REPORTAGE.
CHARACTERISTICS : OIL FREE - EFFICIENT - LOW COST - RELIABLE.
