STUDY OF DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF CERAMIC COMPONENTS FOR A HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT RECUPERATION IN AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTS.

Objetivo

THE OBJECTIVE IS THE STUDY OF THE DESIGN AND THE FORMING TECHNIQUE OF CERAMIC TUBE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT EXCHANGERS.
The construction of a heat exchanger of an autorecuperative burner, working efficiently in the corrosive environment of high temperature furnaces using an annular silicon carbide recuperator with inner and outer fins was investigated. The design, dimensioning and manufacture of the heat exchanger have been performed and the material has been corrosion tested. A prototype of a 100 kW autorecuperative burner has been built and thermohydraulic performance tests have been executed. The performance was very good but manufacturing was difficult and expensive and cracks appeared in the heat exchanger tube during the tests.
SELECTION AND CORROSION TESTS OF CERAMIC MATERIALS IN TEST STATION IN THE OFF GOES OF INDUSTRIAL INSTALLATION. THE SELECTED MATERIAL WILL BE USED FOR THE FABRICATION OF FINED TUBES.
STUDY OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CERAMIC TUBE WITH THE RECUPERATOR DESIGN.
STUDY OF FORMING TECHNIQUES.
CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROTOTYPE AND TEST IN SITU.
