EXECUTION OF A RETROSPECTIVE AND AT REGULAR INTERVALS SUPPLEMENTARY LITERATURE AND PATENT SEARCH FOR CONTRACTING PARTIES AND THEIR SUB-CONTRACTORS OF THE EC-SOFC- PROGRAMME. PROCESSING OF THE INFORMATION OBTAINED AND FORWARDING TO THE USERS.
A. SUPPLY BY THE EC OF SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SEARCH PROFILE, WHICH EMANATE FROM THE NEEDS OF THE USERS.
B. DRAWING UP AND CHECKING OF A SEARCH PROFILE BY THE TNO CENTRE FOR INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION (CID-TNO) IN CO-OPERATION WITH ONE OR MORE RESEARCHERS IN THE SOFC FIELD.
C. EXECUTION OF A RETROSPECTIVE LITERATURE AND PATENT SEARCH BY CID-TNO IN SIX LITERATURE AND PATENT FILES, AMONG WHICH CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS SERVICE, DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AND JAPAN INFORMATION CENTRE FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, ON THE BASIS OF THE SEARCH PROFILE DRAWN UP. THIS SEARCH WILL GO BACK TO 1972 (CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS SERVICE TO 1967).
D. PROCESSING OF THE INFORMATION OBTAINED BY PROVIDING EACH REFERENCE WITH ONE OR MORE KEYWORDS, SO THAT A PRESELECTION FOR THE USERS IS SUPPLIED.
E. FORWARDING THE INFORMATION TO THE USERS ON THE BASIS OF A LIST OF USERS AND THE ADDRESSES DRAWN UP BY THE EC. IF THE NUMBER OF USERS EXCEEDS TEN (10), AN EXTRA AMOUNT OF DFL. 500,-- PER USER ABOVE THIS NUMBER WILL BE CHARGED FOR LICENCING COSTS FOR THE LITERATURE DATA BASES, PROCESSING AND FOWARDING.
F. EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTARY PATENT AND LITERATURE SEARCHES DURING A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR AT MAXIMUM AND ONCE PER QUARTER AT MOST AND ONCE PER HALF YEAR AT LEAST IN FOUR LITERATURE FILES AT MOST, AMONG WHICH CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS SERVICE AND JAPAN INFORMATION CENTRE FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN ANY CASE.
DETERMINATION OF THE FREQUENCY OF THE SEARCHES AND SELECTION OF THE FILES WILL BE PERFORMED ON THE BASIS OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SEARCH MENTIONED UNDER ITEM C. PROCESSING AND FORWARDING OF THE INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED UNDER ITEMS D AND E.
