Objective
THE MIDAS ECONOMETRIC ESTIMATIONS WILL HAVE THE RELIABILITY NEEDED FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DETAILED ENERGY FORECESTS UP TO 1995. IN ADDITION THE ESTIMATED PARAMETERS WILL HAVE A SCIENTIFIC VALUE MUCH IN DEMAND (PRICE ELASTICITIES);
THE HERMES DATA ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THE UPDATING OF THE MODEL, AND NECESSARY FOR STUDIES OF THE ENERGY-ECONOMY INTERFACE AND OF THE INTERNAL MARKET.
TWO CATEGORIES OF TASKS WILL BE CARRIED OUT:
- MIDAS MODEL:
PARTIAL REESTIMATION OF THE MODEL FOR THE TRANSPORT SECTORS, CONSOLIDATION OF RESULTS, PREPARATION OF MIDAS FOR SPAIN AND PORTUGAL, PRODUCTION OF VARIANTS
- HERMES MODEL:
MAINTENANCE OF DATABASE, PREPARATION OF GERMAN DATA BASE, DEVELOPMENT OF COMPUTER SOFTWARE.
