Objective
THE HERMES-ITALY MODEL IS THE PRODUCT OF A RESEARCH PROJECT THAT HAS YIELDED RESULTS OF A NATURE AND QUALITY OF UNPRECEDENTED IMPORTANCE FOR THE COMMISSION'WORK ON EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF THE OIL PRICE AND THE COST OF NON-EUROPE. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO MAINTAIN THE MODEL AT THIS QUALITY LEVEL. IN ADDITION, THE MODEL WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY LINKED TO THE COMET AND HERMES MODELS SO AS TO PROVIDE A SYSTEM OF EUROPEAN SECTORAL MODELS UNIQUE IN EUROPE.
THE RESEARCH CONSISTS OF UPDATING THE HERMES-ITALY MODEL AND IMPROVING ITS PERFORMANCE BY INCORPORATING ECONOMIC MECHANISMS BETTER REPREENTATIVE OF THE WORKING OF THE ITALIAN ECONOMY. THE MODEL WILL BE WIDELY USED FOR COMMUNITY STUDIES ON THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET, INCLUDING THE RECIPROCAL IMPACT OF ENERGY POLICIES. THE CONTRACTOR WILL TRANSFER THE MODEL TO THE COMMISSION'S COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT AND WILL ENSURE THAT IT OPERATES PROPERLY IN A VERSION LINKED TO THE OTHER HERMES MODEL.
