Objective
THE PROPOSED RESEARCH CONTINUES EARLIER RESEARCH WHICH YIELDED SCIENTIFIC RESULTS OF GREAT VALUE FOR ENERGY.
THROUGH THESE INDICATORS THE DEVELOPMENT OF SECTORAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION IS PRECISELY KNOWN, AS IS THE IMPACT OF OVERALL ENERGY POLICIES.
IN ADDITION, INTERNATIONAL COMPARISONS ARE POSSIBLE AS THE INDICATORS ARE CALCULATED IN THE SAME WAY FOR EACH COMMUNITY COUNTRY.
The energy conservation indicator methodology provides a detailed and consistent basis for measuring and explaining the changes of energy utilisation in the Community as a whole as well as in each member state. At the same time it allows results to be compared among the member states since the structure of the database used is identical for each of them.
ESTIMATION OF INDICATORS ON ENERGY CONSERVATION ACHIEVED IN 1985 AND 1986. THESE INDICATORS WILL BE SPECIFIC TO THE TWELVE COMMUNITY COUNTRIES AND WILL SUPPLEMENT THE INDICATORS FOR 1984 AND 1983/79.
THE SECTORS CONSIDERED WILL BE INDUSTRY, TRANSPORT, HOUSEHOLDS AND SERVICES, AND ENERGY.
