IMPROVEMENT AND APPLICATION OF THE HERMES-FRANCE MODEL.

Objective

THERE WILL BE NUMEROUS SCIENTIFIC ADVANTAGES:

- THE ECONOMIC AND ENERGY SYSTEM WILL BE BROUGHT INTO SHARPER FOCUS AS THE MOST RECENT STATISTICS WILL BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT IN THE ASSESSMENT OF THE MODEL
- THERE WILL BE A MORE EFFECTIVE LINK BETWEEN ALL OF THE HERMES MODELS SINCE THEY WILL EACH HAVE BEEN IMPROVED, THEREBY MAKING THE RECIPROCAL EFFECTS BETWEN COUNTRIES EVEN MORE SPECIFIC
- THE ECONOMIC DYNAMICS OF THE COMPLETION OF THE INTERNAL MARKET WILL BE ANALYSED IN GREATER DETAIL SINCE A LARGER NUMBER OF PARAMETERS ARE NOW BETTER KNOWN.

IN ADDITION TO THE SCIENTIFIC ADVANTAGES, THERE WILL ALSO BE TECHNICAL ADVANTAGES SINCE THE MODEL SUPPORT SOFTWARE AND THE NETWORKS COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMMISSION'S COMPUTER WILL BE FINALLY MASTERED AND USED.

THE RESEARCH WORK CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

- MAINTENANCE OF THE MODEL AND THE DATA BASE
- ECONOMIC AND ENERGY RELATED ASSESSMENT OF THE COMPLETION OF THE INTERNAL MARKET ON THE FRENCH ECONOMY
- THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A "LINKED" REFERENCE FORECAST TOGETHER WITH OTHER HERMES TEAMS IN THE COMMUNITY
- PARTICIPATION IN STUDIES ON THE FUNDING OF THE SS
- DEFINITION OF THE METHOD FOR DIVIDING THE HERMES-FRANCE MODEL INTO 25 BRANCHES, GATHERING OF THE DATA AND INITIAL ESTIMATES.
