Objective
ABRICOS project aims at developing techniques for retrofitting quite old boilers in order to make them reach, at the lowest cost, future environmental regulatory concerning NOx and dust emissions. The technical purpose of the project is to examine the use of biomass as a reburning fuel (enabling reduction of NOx, SOx and CO2), and to perfect new technologies for capturing fine dust produced by the process. ABRICOS project gathers 9 partners from 5 European countries, including 4 industries ranging from SME to large electricity production groups. The end-users of the projects intend to exploit the results as soon as possible after the project. They will work together with the technology suppliers to find the best and fastest way to exploit results.
