Wind generator system with significant technical advantages over existing technology and particulary suited for integration into the built environment .

Objective

The proposed project relates to the design, development and prototype building of an innovative wind generator system which has been invented by Count Alain de Briey. The system is thought to have competitive advantages over existing wind energy systems, for both technical and economic reasons. Technically it combines the advantages of both horizontal and vertical axis type wind generators , without the disadvantages . Additionally , the system is conceived in such a way that it can be integrated into the built environment , i.e. close to the consumption of electrical energy, thereby reducing transmission losses . The possibility to integrate the system into the built environment is an important economic issue , as this ability allows with energy systems to compete with other renewable energy technologies, in particular solar photovoltaic technologies, for which an enormous future market for building integration is expected.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
