Objective
The aim is to develop and construct a high efficiency waste treatment system, which would produce re-usable gases from variety of plastic waste. The conversion system would be relatively small (<1 MW) and would, therefore, be used by modest energy consumers like factories, hospitals, schools, apartment houses etc. This would make the recollection of waste at these places redundant and, at the same time, the buildings would be heated for free. The system would provide excellent re-use of waste at low costs, minimal environmental impact (European emission guidelines) and maximum energetic efficiency (>80%). This will not only strengthen the position of the producers but also of the end-users. The innovation lies in the process concept: to produce ("natural") gas by a combination of thermal treatment technologies(pyrolysis & gasification) in a specially to develop reactor which converts the waste to its original components. The environmental burden will decrease as less transport and less fuel consumption for energy requirements are needed, thus reducing CO2 and other with waste incineration involved emissions.
