Objective
The consortium gathers 8 partners from 5 different countries, which are major players in their domain in Europe. All the value-chain is represented in the consortium. The project objective is the development of a new rechargeable lithium battery, for the power supply of future mobile communication devices, with increased characteristics. The specifications of the battery are very high and will place it at a competitive level at the end of the project, particularly concerning cost and energy density and specific energy. This project will allow new opportunities for portable products, and opening markets to European battery suppliers.
