Objective
Proposed is a development and optimisation project for the intelligent transport and distribution of energy. To be exploited thereby is the innovation potential inherent in compound plastic jacket pipe technology - today's leading technology in the transport and distribution of district heat. To substitute the known weak point "branch connection", it is planned to develop a new construction with higher stress stability that is also to be manufactured more inexpensively by a new process. This will in turn promote the much less costly laying process in district heat pipeline construction, namely "uncompensated cold laying " as element of the laying technology of future generations, which, depending on the constructional environment, brings costs benefits between 25 and 50% over conventional laying systems (with thermal pre-stressing and/or compensators).
