Materials and components, industrially prefabricated, to assist the application of bioclimatic design principles in the building sector.

Objective

Bio climatic design principles help significantly to reduce primary energy consumption in the buildings. However there is a lack of bio climatic design applications in massive building constructions. A reason for this is the lack of ready to use industrially prefabricated materials and components to assist the application of common techniques used to enhance bio climatic building behaviour in conjunction with the appropriate architectural design methodologies. The goal of the present research is to design and built prototypes of building materials and components which will assist either used individually or, preferably, in a well designed system, the application of bio climatic principles in, ideally, a wide range of buildings. Research results are expected to release a huge potential of bio climatic applications in the building sector. Moreover the impact on the social, economic and EU policies objectives is expected to be high and positive.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
