Livrables
The daily data over 10 years simulated by the UKMO, MPI and CNRM in high resolution offers a unique opportunity to know about the ability of statue of the art General Circulation Models of the 1990's to simulate the global climate of the 1980's. This has no commercial value, but the efforts made in the way the data have been stored and documented, the careful and systematic comparison against observed data, in particular over Europe, will make easy the access and discussion for the next 10 years. Even though those data are primarily designed for the participants, there is a possibility to make them accessible freely to other European scientists (through their access to the European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasting. Those data are a solid reference to evaluate the progress of climate stimulation in the next decade, since what we have called "high resolution" here, will be "standard resolution A" within 10 years, due the increase in capacity of the computers.
