THE EVALUATION OF THE IMPACT OF AN INCREASE IN CO2 ON EUROPEAN CLIMATE

Objective

CLIMATE MODELS WHICH ARE ALREADY BEING DEVELOPED IN THE METEOROLOGICAL OFFICE TO STUDY THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE INDUCED BY MAN'S ACTIVITIES, WILL BE USED TO STUDY THE DETAILED RESPONSE OF CLIMATE IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE COMMUNITY TO INCREASES IN ATMOSPHERIC CO2. THIS WILL INCLUDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES TO DETERMINE THE SIGNIFICNCE OF MODEL CHANGES, AND FURTHER WORK TO INTERPRET THE MODEL CHANGES IN TERMS OF PARAMETERS WHICH CAN BE USED BY THE COMMUNITY.
