Objective
INVESTIGATION INTO THE POSSIBILITY OF CONCENTRATING WASTE WATER FROM TEXTILE PROCESSES.
THE RESEARCH PROJECT IS IMPLEMENTED IN THREE STAGES:
1. A LABORATORY INVESTIGATION IS CARRIED OUT INTO THE POSSIBILITY OF CONCENTRATING THE FOLLOWING WASTE WATERS:
WASTE WATER RESULTING FROM THE SCOURING OF WOOLLEN FABRICS, MIXTURES OF LUBRICANTS, SOAP AND OTHER SURFACE ACTIVE AGENTS;
WASTE WATER RESULTING FROM THE CLEANING OF RAW COTTONS;
WASTE WATER RESULTING FROM DYEING;
WASTE WATER RESULTING FROM PRINTING.
IT IS EXPLORED WHETHER THE FILTRATE OBTAINED IS SUITABLE FOR REUSE AS PROCESS WATER AND WHETHER THE PRODUCTS IN THE CONCENTRATE CAN BE PURIFIED AND MADE SUITABLE FOR REUSE.
2. EXPERIMENTS ARE DONE ON A SEMI TECHNICAL SCALE WITH THE AID OF A TUBULAR ULTRAFILTRATING UNIT. THE SELECTION OF THE WASTE WATER IS BASED ON THE RESULTS OBTAINED IN THE FIRST STAGE.
3. THE POSSIBILITIES TO REUSE THE CONCENTRATE AS WELL THE FILTRATE AS PROCESS WATER ARE STUDIED.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
