METEOROLOGICAL SPECIFICITY OF RECEPTOR POINT. INVESTIGATION AT THE SYNOPTICAL SCALE.

Objective

A. DESCRIPTION: THE ETABLISSEMENT D'ETUDES ET DE RECHERCHES METEOROLOGIQUES (EERM) AND THE SERVICE CENTRAL D'EXPLOITATION METEOROLOGIQUE (SCEM) OF DMN(DIRECTION DE LA METEOROLOGIE NATIONALE) ARE DEVELOPING IN CLOSE COLLABORATION A METHODOLOGY TO INVESTIGATE LONG RANGE TRANSPORT OF POLLUTANTS.
IN THIS FRAMEWORK, THE AIM OF THE ACTUAL RESEARCH IS TO ESTABLISH AT THREE RECEPTOR POINTS, THE CLIMATOLOGY OF FINISHING TRAJECTORY IN ORDER TO DETERMINE HIGH PROBABILITY EMITTING SECTORS, SEASONNAL FLUCTUATIONS ETC.... 850 MILLIBARS TRAJECTORY ARE CALCULATED TWICE A DAY, OVER THE PERIOD 1975-1980 BY MEANS OF INTERPOLATIONS OF WIND FIELD BASED ON ROUTINE ANALYSIS PERFORMED BY THE METEOROLOGY.

POINTS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT ARE THE COL DU DONON (VOSGES), THE COL DE LA FAUCILLE (JURA) AND CARPENTRAS, IN ORDER TO INVESTIGATE THE INFLUENCE OF LATITUDE AND TO DETECT POSSIBLE DIFFERENCES IN THE LOCALISATION OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SOURCES FOR EACH POINT.

THIS PROJECT IS PART OF THE FRENCH RESEARCH PROGRAMME DEFORPA (DESTRUCTION DES FORETS POUR LA POLLUTION ATMOSPHERIQUE).
