WEATHER RADAR DATA, AS MEASURED AT THE SITE OF TEOLO (ITALY) WILL BE USED. IT COMPRISES BOTH, STORED AND REAL TIME MEASUREMENTS. THE OPTIMIZATION OF THE CALIBRATION TECHNIQUES IS AIMED AS A FIRST GOAL OF THE RESEARCH WORK. TELEMETRIC DATA WILL ALSO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.
THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR REAL TIME FLOOD FORECASTING WILL BE ATTEMPTED, AND THE RESULTS WILL BE COMPARED WITH THE OUTPUT OF OTHER AVAILABLE MODELS.
THE AVAILABILITY OF INTEGRATED METEOROLOGICAL MEASUREMENTS WILL ENABLE THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNIQUES FOR THE EVALUATION OF LEVELS OF PRECIPITATION WHICH, IN TURN, WILL PROVE TO BE USEFUL IN AGRICULTURAL TERMS (IN PARTICULAR DURING THE GROWING SEASON).
