Objective
THE RESULTS OF THE RESEARCH ON THESE TOPICS WILL, IF FEASIBLE, BE INCORPORATED IN EXISTING METHODS TO PREDICT THE DISPERSION OF HEAVY GASES.
THE CONCENTRATION FIELD SHALL BE RECORDED CLOSE TO THE GROUND AND BY SOME VERTICALY DISTRIBUTED INTSRUMENTS AT OUTFLOW RATES OF LIQUID AND GASEOUS PROPANE FROM 2 4 TO 35 KG/S. DIFFERENT OBSTACLES WILL BE SET UP IN THE FIELD. THE OBSTACLES WILL BE BUILD BY STEELPOLES AND TENTSECTIONS WITH AN OVER ALL SURFACE OF 400 M2. TURBULENCE SHALL BE MEASURED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE GAS CLOUD IN FRONT AND BEHIND OBSTACLES.
IT IS PLANED TO CREATE SPECIAL TYPES OF FIELDSCENARIOS AND RUN SEVERAL TRIALS WITH VARIOUS OUTFLOW RATES AND/OR INSTANTANEOUS RELEASES. THE SPILL CAN BE LIKE A JET OR WILL HAVE ONLY A VERY SMALL MOMEMTUM ACHIEVED BY A CYCLON.
