Objective
TO EXTRAPOLATE THE EXISTING GERMAN DATA FOR A LONG-TERM EVALUATION OF LEACHATES AND MIGRATION OF POLLUTANTS.
LAND FILLSITES WILL BE CHOOSEN IN DENMARK, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, IRELAND, ITALY, PORTUGAL AND SPAIN AND THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS WILL BE STUDIED AS SELECTIVE INDICATORS OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF LEACHATE UNDER THE DIFFERENT CLIMATOLOGICAL CONDITIONS : RAIN, EVAPORATION, AMOUNT OF LEACHATE, TEMPERATURE (MIN.,MAX.), WASTE AMOUNT, WASTE KIND, LEACHATE QUALITY, GROUNDWATER QUALITY, METHANE PRODUCTION.
ALL DATA WILL BE EVALUATED BY TIME SERIES METHODS AND CORRELATION CALCULATIONS AND THE RESULTS WILL BE PRESENTED AS MONTHLY AND YEARLY SPLINES.
THE RESULTS WILL PROVIDE STANDARDS FOR FUTURE LAND FILLSITES IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE THE HAZARDS ON THE LONG-TERM.
