Objectif The new proposed development strategies consist of the step-by-step realization of the following elements :- compact wastewater treatment with intensified pre-treatment and lamella separators- coo fermentation to provide energy and carbon sources for wastewater treatment and to salve municipal and industrial organic waste problems,- reduction of pollutants in industrial wastewater- new measures for waste management. The proposed solutions represent a new combination of waste wastewater management for a more beneficial and sustainable development in cities with at present poor environmental facilities. The investigations are performed in laboratory or plant testing and in case studies for two model-cities in eastern and southern Europe.
