Development of pertraction to remove organics from waste/process water and to enable re-use/recycling

Objective

Emissions of organic pollutants to waste and or process water are a serious threat for the environment, limit recycling possibilities of water and can form a loss of organic chemicals. Per traction is a new very efficient membrane based extraction process which enables both removal of organics from water with a high removal efficiency and also recovery of the organics in a pure form. In the project two SME - Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) specialized in membrane equipment together with an RTD performer will access the technical and economical feasibility of per traction. Per traction equipment will be developed and tested on site of end users to demonstrate the feasibility of the technology and to determine optimal areas of application. Apart from the development of highly efficient, flexible, compact and cost effective equipment the objective is also to gain confidence of Potential end users in Pharmaceutical, Off Shore, Automotive, Paint, Petrochemical and Chemical Industry

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
