Limiting the impact of free-ranging cats on wildlife biodiversity

Objective

The proposal addresses the problem of predation by free-ranging cats (Felids cactus) on wildlife biodiversity. The aim is to employ new technologies to reduce the impact of cats on European wildlife and document species and habitats of European concern. The objectives are to:(i) develop and test an electronic sonic cat collar system to limit predation of wildlife(ii) locate and map European wildlife sites under threat from feline predation (iii) document species at risk Prototype collar products will be subject to performance tests and customer acceptance trials
