Objective
The CULTLAND MCTS embraces effective and mutual, theoretical and practical knowledge transfer, ability to work in a team with critical and innovated working procedures, integrated interdisciplinary approach within a well-established European network of partners with a "state-of-the-art" knowledge. The students will get insight in short time (present) and long time dynamics in man-made ecosystems, in application of GIS on past and present landscapes, development of information systems and predictive modelling of the management of cultural heritage, the "building blocks" in research methods, and tools to evaluate the effectiveness on land ecosystem management (political, economic, institutional, social and technical factors and, environmental variables). CULTLAND with partners, NERSC and the heath land centre "Lygra", place young researchers at the forefront of European cultural landscape studies, and in sustainable planning and management strategies of major global issues.
