Objective
In view of the preparation of the European Research Area and its implementation info 6, this Accompanying Measure aims to initiate serious and widespread consultation among potential stakeholders on the desirability and feasibility of federating the researchers undertaking consistent socio-environmental research in range of circumscribed geographic areas that are representative for the environments on the European continent. It will do so by means of commissioned reports, workshops, electronic consultations and a conference. The proposal will result in report on the state of European efforts in this domain, with recommendations on how to effectively implement such a network.
