Objective The Sixth European Symposium on Stratospheric Ozone will take place from September 2 to 6 2002. Its aims are to promote discussion of the scientific results of groups from across Europe; to foster collaborations between research groups in Europe; to enhance integration of EC and nationally funded research; to discuss the issues of future scientific and societal concern; and to further the training of young scientists.This proposal will provide support for the efficient preparation and organisation of this Symposium to be achieved through making the local arrangements (meeting rooms, materials for the symposium, block bookings at hotels, etc.) and by assisting the symposium's organising committee (drafting of announcements, collation of submitted abstracts, etc.). A further aim will be to provide travel support for young scientists and for scientists from accession countries.
