Autonomous underwater multi-probe system for coastal area / shallow water monitoring

Objectif

In this project the prototype of a new type of autonomous water monitoring system will be developed and tested. The system consists of multiple small scale underwater robotic probes that can perform standard measurements and algae monitoring by fluorometric detection of phytoplankton. The system is intended to coastal and shallow water areas like Baltic Sea or other similar areas. The underlying idea is to create a reasonable priced, small-scale, adjustable, robust and redundant monitoring system that, when equipped with suitable sensor(s), partly developed in this project, provides solutions for the traditionally difficult and highly man power consuming and thus expensive task of monitoring coastal waters.
