Concerted action on molecular microbiology as an innovative conservation strategy for indoor and outdoor cultural assets

Objective

Opening meeting (Month1). Printing of a brochure (M3). Creation of a web site and edition of a semestrial electronic newsletter (M6). First workshop focused on the inventory of microorganisms associated with damages to cultural assets (M12). Second workshop on review of molecular methodologies (M24). Third workshop on guidelines for effective evaluation of microbial activities (M32). Organisation of an international conference on Cultural Heritage and Molecular Biology (M34). Final report to EC (M36). Publications, reviews, and other dissemination materials will be produced along the 36 months.
